How To: A Valentine's Craft ♥

I got this idea off of a website, after my mom bugged me to make some sort of craft for valentine's day. Hope you like and maybe even try it yourself, it is really fun!

Supplies:

  • 12-by-16 inch piece of wax paper
  • Valentine's color crayons
  • Old towels
  • Iron
  • Silk Thread
  • Pencil Sharpener
  • Sewing Needle

                                                            collect supplies(duhh)

peel wrapper off of crayons and fold wax paper in half lengthwise

shave the crayons in the pencil sharpener and scatter them one half of the wax paper

                                                         oh, look a crazy girl!!

Next, fold half of the wax paper over the half with the shaving on it. Then, place a towel over the top of the paper and run an iron over it. It doesn't really matter what setting the iron is on. It should end up looking something like this:

this is what it will look like if you mix different crayons together, which you want to do!

trace hearts and cut them out of the paper. you can do any size
 you want

Once you cut them, poke a whole close to the top with a needle and thread the yarn through. Then, hang them in front of a window to reflect light. Due to the lack of light on this wintery day, mine don't look so hot, but I assure they look better with some sunlight behind them.

And that's it!

The only let down about this project is, like many other crafts I do, they never turn out the website or article makes them look. And, this time was no different. But, still a fun project!
